Let's Talk About Season 6A
Hello from the end of vacation! I am definitely sad that it’s coming to a close (I have one 81 degrees day left) but it was a great time and I got the chance to catch up with my favorite narcissistic horse: Bojack.
I don’t actually plan to dive too much into the way this show relates to movies and pop culture since that’s actually going to play heavily into next week’s episode. I do want to take the time to acknowledge the show pushing forward the narrative of redemption and the cost of healing, however. This is a subject that I do not think is handled in TV or film very often and this season of Bojack Horseman (well, actually, the whole show) does it so smoothly and tastefully that I felt the need for a tiny post of acknowledgment.
I intended to write a long think piece about the season, but I decided that waiting for the end of part B may be a better idea so that I can evaluate the series as a whole. All I can say is that you should be sprinting to Netflix to watch this show; it’s a special and well crafted work of art.
